The Nutcracker at the Wainwright House Live !

Drosselmeyer's Workshop

Following two successful, sold-out shows at the picturesque Wainwright House

(260 Stuyvesant Avenue, Rye, NY),

Carole Alexis Company/Ballet des Amériques is delighted to announce another

collaboration with the historic mansion. The two nonprofits will unite to host twenty-five immersive,

LIVE The Nutcracker Drosselmeyer’s Workshop performances

on a variety of dates bookending the holidays—from December 17th to December 30th.

The Nutcracker is a beloved holiday tradition, with Tchaikovsky’s signature score defining the season.

We invite you to join this inestimable experience of this yuletide staple live, as this production

will be one of the very few live renditions occurring this year. The ballet story of the Nutcracker

created by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov is based on the livret of Alexander Dumas and takes

place in the end of the Victorian era. Thus, the arresting and sumptuous Wainwright House

will provide an ideal backdrop—generating a marvelously enchanting experience.

Such a setting and arrangement will enable viewers to glean an unprecedented look at

both the opulent mansion (attaining a tour) and the dancers.

In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines, seating will be limited,

so make sure to reserve your ticket in advance.
