Peter and the Wolf - 2 pm

Ballet des Amériques returns to Teatro LATEA with new performances of its production Peter and the Wolf, choreographed by Carole Alexis to the music Sergei Prokofiev. Peter and the Wolf will showcase the talents of our professional dancers, who will also perform other choreographies from the company's rich repertoire. Like the Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf also features promising child dancers.

Peter and the Wolf was composed in 1936 by Sergei Prokoviev. It tells the story of a young boy who attempts to capture a wolf and take it to a zoo to save it from hunters. This magnificent composition has been a source of fond memories for many generations.
